Hybrid phase AF

The most important thing about autofocus is being able to rely on it. In addition to contrast AF, the LUMIX GH7 offers the phase-detection AF system, which dramatically improves subject-tracking performance and metering technologies. The camera can capture the subject even in challenging scenes where multiple subjects are involved, providing accuracy even in backlit environments or in low light conditions.

The ARRI LogC3 curve image processing in the LUMIX GH7 has been certified by ARRI for the implementation of this function. Log recording options, which provide rich color information and a wide dynamic range, have been expanded to include ARRI LogC3 in addition to conventional V-Log, further optimizing LUMIX workflow compatibility.

The Dynamic Range Boost function takes two types of images in a single exposure and synthesizes them in real time to create composite images with a dynamic range of tone, even in scenes with significant differences in brightness. For stills, it enables a richer expression of shadow tones in RAW data. For video, it enables 13+ step V-Log/V-Gamut recording*. It achieves a wide dynamic range in all ISO sensitivity ranges.

*When recording video above 60 fps (including VFR), the latitude will be 12+ points. ?Dynamic Range Boost is not activated when recording HFR/VFR video of 61 fps or higher, nor with SH continuous shooting. It is also not activated at shutter speeds of less than 1/15 during stills capture, depending on the ISO. ?This function is applied automatically.

It also allows simultaneous internal and external recording via the HDMI output, under the guaranteed operating environment.
