The Rode smartLav + is a wearable transmission-grade microphone designed for use in a wide range of cinema, television and broadcast scenarios, or wherever audio quality transmission is required in a discrete, portable format without the hassle and the expense of additional wireless equipment.
With smartLav + you simply mount the microphone in the speaker, connect it to a smartphone or tablet handset and record through the Rode Rec app for iOS, or any other audio application of your choice.
Employing a professional-quality omni-directional condenser capsule the smartLav + also picks up sound from the entire microphone, allowing versatility when assembling and ensuring a high degree of user-friendly operation.
A foam pop shield is provided to minimize wind noise and palatalized vocals, as well as a durable mounting clip with integrated cable management. Its Kevlar® reinforced cable ensures that you never stretch or adjust your microphone under normal use.
The smartLav + is compatible with any audio application that supports the headphone connection input, however, it is designed to seamlessly pair with Rode Rec app for Apple iOS devices. Rode Rec transforms the user´s iOS device into a fully featured field recorder with a wide variety of equalization presets to suit various recording situations, as well as professional editing functions and the ability to publish to SoundCloud and Dropbox directly from the app.
